In the spring of 2015, our nonprofit organization was founded with a noble mission: to provide assistance to the unhoused population in the Summerville area. Recognizing the pressing need for support and shelter within the community, we swiftly mobilized our efforts to address this critical issue.
By October 2015, our team had achieved a significant milestone by inaugurating its men’s center, marking a pivotal moment in its journey of service. With its doors opened wide, the men’s center welcomed individuals in need, offering a safe haven and essential resources to those experiencing homelessness. Through dedicated outreach and compassionate care, we commenced operations, poised to make a meaningful impact in the lives of up to 16 guests at a time.
From its humble beginnings to its establishment as a beacon of hope within the community, this shelter exemplifies the power of collective action and unwavering dedication to serving the most vulnerable members of society. As it continues to expand its reach and enhance its services, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing support, dignity, and empowerment to those in need.
Prior to their residency at the center, all prospective guests are required to adhere to the following regulations:
These regulations are established to ensure the safety, welfare, and success of all residents within our facilities. Adherence to these rules is paramount to fostering an environment conducive to personal growth, empowerment, and positive community engagement.
To initiate the application process, all prospective guests are required to undergo a preliminary phone screening with the center manager. This screening serves as an initial step to assess eligibility and suitability for participation in the program. Following the phone screening, eligible candidates will receive guidance on completing the application process.
To schedule a phone screening, individuals can reach out to the center manager by calling our administrative office. During the screening, applicants will have the opportunity to discuss their goals, circumstances, and any inquiries they may have regarding the program.
Upon successful completion of the phone screening, applicants will be guided through the subsequent steps of the application process, including the submission of required documentation and participation in an in-person interview if deemed necessary.
