In June 2019, driven by unwavering faith and relentless dedication, our team embarked on a mission to address the pressing needs of women within our community. Fueled by a deep-rooted commitment to make a meaningful difference, we pooled our resources, determination, and hard work to establish a haven for women in need. It was with great pride and anticipation that we unveiled our women’s center, a sanctuary designed to cater to the diverse needs of women facing various challenges.

From the moment our doors swung open, our center became a beacon of hope and empowerment for women seeking refuge, support, and opportunities for growth. With each passing day, we witnessed the transformative impact of our efforts as women found solace, strength, and renewed purpose within our walls.

Despite the hurdles and obstacles encountered along the way, our resolve remained unshakable. Through tireless perseverance and a steadfast belief in our mission, we overcame every challenge to ensure the success and sustainability of our center.

Today, our women’s center stands as a symbol of resilience, compassion, and community solidarity. At full capacity, it provides a safe haven for up to eight women, offering not just shelter but also a comprehensive range of services aimed at fostering empowerment, healing, and self-sufficiency.

As we reflect on our journey thus far, we are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve and uplift the women in our community. Moving forward, we remain committed to our vision of creating a brighter, more equitable future for all women, one filled with hope, opportunity, and endless possibilities.

Prior to their residency at the center, all prospective guests are required to adhere to the following regulations:

  1. Commit to seeking full-time employment during their stay at the center and actively strive towards both short-term and long-term objectives.
  2. Collaborate with the center’s personnel to establish personalized objectives aimed at fostering independence, and diligently work towards accomplishing these goals.
  3. Successfully pass a thorough background check conducted by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED). Additionally, due to the proximity of our centers to places of worship and educational institutions, individuals with a history of sex offense charges are ineligible for residency. Furthermore, our centers are not equipped to accommodate guests with severe mental health diagnoses.
  4. Maintain sobriety from alcohol and drugs throughout their tenure at the centers.

These regulations are established to ensure the safety, welfare, and success of all residents within our centers. Adherence to these rules is paramount to fostering an environment conducive to personal growth, empowerment, and positive community engagement.

To initiate the application process, all prospective guests are required to undergo a preliminary phone screening with the center manager. This screening serves as an initial step to assess eligibility and suitability for participation in the program. Following the phone screening, eligible candidates will receive guidance on completing the application process.

To schedule a phone screening, individuals can reach out to the center manager by calling our administrative office. During the screening, applicants will have the opportunity to discuss their goals, circumstances, and any inquiries they may have regarding the program.

Upon successful completion of the phone screening, applicants will be guided through the subsequent steps of the application process, including the submission of required documentation and participation in an in-person interview if deemed necessary.
